Team seats: colleagues in your account, billing in your name
How a team member works inside your Depotely account with their own login, what the roles mean today, how an invitation works, and why the bill never moves.

A marketplace shop is rarely one person. Someone packs, someone answers buyers, someone keeps an eye on prices. Sharing one login for all of them means nobody knows who changed what, and a leaver takes the password with them. Depotely gives each person a seat instead.
One account, several people
A seat lets a colleague sign in with their own email and password and work inside your account: your products, your orders, your channels. There is no second copy of the data and nothing to keep in sync; it is your account, used by more than one pair of hands.
Roles
When you invite someone you give them a role: admin, manager, seller or staff. The role is recorded on the seat, shown in the team list and written next to every change the person makes.
Today one role changes what a member may do: an admin can manage the seats, inviting and revoking colleagues. Every other role works in the account without that. Finer permissions per role are not there yet, and this article will say so when they are.
Billing stays with the owner
Changing the plan, starting a checkout, cancelling and the payment history belong to the owner alone. A member who opens the billing page sees a notice saying so and nothing else; a member who tries anyway is refused by the server, not just by the screen. The invoice from Depotely carries your company, not theirs.
Inviting someone
From the billing page you enter a colleague's email and a role. They receive an email with a link that is valid for seven days. The link carries a signed token, so there is nothing to look up or type; opening it and signing in with their own login binds the seat to them. An invitation that was not used can be sent again or revoked, and a seat can be revoked at any time; the person loses access within a minute on every server.
A person can hold a seat in one account only. A colleague who already belongs to another Depotely account leaves it first, which they can do themselves from their billing page.
Who did what
Every change a team member makes is written to the activity log under your account, with the member named as the actor: the price they typed, the stock rule they edited, the channel they connected. When something looks off, you can see which person did it and when, and talk to them instead of guessing.
How many seats
Seats are part of the plan: Essential has one (you), Professional five, Enterprise twenty. The seats in use count against that limit, and an invitation past the limit is refused with a note that a bigger plan is needed.
What a seat is not
It is not a way to share one channel with a partner business. Sharing a single integration with someone outside your company is a separate, personal invitation on the channels page, and it does not put that person inside your account.
